After a hearty breakfast, you’ll start a journey across the Nile to the West Bank, a land steeped in ancient Egyptian funerary traditions and beliefs about the afterlife. This is where the pharaohs and queens of the New Kingdom chose to build their eternal resting places, creating a vast and awe-inspiring landscape of tombs and temples.


📍 Valley of the Kings

The noble necropolis, used from the 16th to the 11th century BC, contains well over 60 tombs, among them the famous tomb of Tutankhamun. Its construction site had been chosen to preserve the bodies of the pharaohs.

 

📍 Temple of Hatshepsut

The 15th-century-BC temple, built for the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, this very peculiar and terraced temple is perfectly integrated into the surrounding cliffs.

 

📍 Colossi of Memnon

These colossal statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, dating to the 14th century BC, stand as silent sentinels of the West Bank that remains of his mortuary temple.

 

As your exploration of the West Bank concludes, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport to take a flight to Sharm El Sheikh airport where you’ll head from there to St. Catherine in the Sinai Peninsula. Upon arrival in the St. Catherine area, you will check into a comfortable camp, nestled near the foot of Mount Sinai, where you will spend the night, preparing for your early morning ascent of the mountain.

The arriving tourists shall then be transferred to a convenient camp close to Mount Sinai in Sharm El Sheikh. Go on a holy visit to Mount Sinai, a historical point where Moses got the Ten Commandments, and pay visits to St. Catherine's historic Monastery.
