Itinerary

Morning, your Egyptologist will pick you up from your hotel in Giza and drive you in an air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria. About 225 kilometers (140 miles) northwest of Cairo. The drive takes about 3 hours. Upon arriving in Alexandria, you'll start your tour with a visit to:

📍 Library of Alexandria
Libraries existed in Greece and the Near East before the Library of Alexandria. The earliest recorded archive of written materials comes from Uruk in 3400 BC. Scholarly curation of literary texts began around 2500 BC.

Once you finish visiting the library with Respect Egypt Tours, you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Don't miss the chance to enjoy the seafood in Alexandria.

📍 Catacombs of Kom el-Shoqafa
The cemetery has tombs, statues, and artifacts that blend Roman, Greek, and Egyptian styles. Some statues have Egyptian features but Roman clothes and hairstyles, while others share a similar style.

📍 Qaitbay Citadel
Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria was a key stronghold in Egypt and along the Mediterranean coast in the 15th century AD.

After the tour, Respect Egypt Tours will transfer you back to your hotel in Giza, arriving late evening.
