The Giza Pyramids are on the outskirts of Cairo in the city of Giza. Ancient Egyptians built these structures over 4,500 years ago as tombs for pharaohs and their consorts.

The Sphinx of Giza is one of the most recognizable hard rock sculptures that features the body of a lion and a man’s head, which was probably made in the image of Pharaoh Khafre. Close to the Great Pyramids, for the last 4500 years, the Sphinx has represented power and intelligence.
