Itinerary

Reception at Your Hotel in the morning; your personal tour guide and Egyptologist will pick you up from your accommodation in Cairo. You will all ride together in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria. You will see the Catacombs, the Temple of Serapis, and Pompey's Pillar. You'll start your exploration of Alexandria by going to Pompey's Pillar. Around the end of the fourth century, it was built to recognize Emperor Diocletian. It was formerly a beautiful building that rivaled the Soma and the Caesarean, the Temple of the Serapis. After that, you'll travel to the Catacombs, the most significant Roman cemetery, comprising three levels dug out of the rock. Eat Lunch in a Local Alexandria Restaurant, and on this tour, lunch can be purchased separately at a neighborhood eatery in Alexandria. You'll adore the excellent, real Egyptian food! After lunch, you'll visit the Qaitbay Citadel, erected where the ancient pharaohs of Alexandria (the lighthouse) once stood; your next stop will be the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
